ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES FOR PROGRAM MANAGER


  • Managing project teams where applicable clearly articulating strategic imperatives and benefits of the project being undertaken
  • Undertaking rigorous analysis and planning and robustly manage and articulate project risks
  • Challenging user requirements in an objective and unbiased manner to ensure the outcome is optimal for the firm and taking a pragmatic approach with lateral thinking leveraging existing solutions where possible
  • Producing defendable Business Justification documents with a clear articulation of drivers, linkage to business strategy, solution design benchmarked against industry trends, realistic timelines and budget requirements"
  • Taking a disciplined approach to project delivery in line Change Management PDLC with the business justification unless there is scope change or external factors
  • Constantly engaging with Project Sponsors to drive through change and ensure it is fully adopted and integrated into the firm
  • Forming strong partnerships with Business Users and Technology whilst proactively promoting client's vision and values and operate in that spirit


ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES FOR PROJECT MANAGER 


  • Designing and leading complex regulatory and front office (product) change projects; Managing timescales and resources to achieve programme objectives, taking actions where these deviate from the agreed tolerance; ensuring that the deliverables are implemented to agreed timelines;"
  • Create and deliver project plans and revise as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirements.
  • Identify resources and assign responsibilities.
  • Manage day-to-day operational aspects of the project(s) whilst competently managing to established project methodology and best practice.
  • Ensure that project documents are complete, current, and appropriately stored.
  • Work closely with relevant business and technology stakeholders to ensure effective and efficient implementation of the project(s).
  • Understand project budgeting; scheduling expenditures; analysing variances and initiating corrective actions. Submit project status reports to stakeholders; coordinates and provides updates to steering committees; anticipates and reacts to change.
  • Manage the full project lifecycle from initiation to closeout whilst consistently identifying & managing inter-dependencies with other projects.
  • Coordinating project implementation "Go-Lives" and handover to relevant Technology & Support groups.
